The Brubeck Brothers Quartet's 2007 debut recording, Intuition, impressed the national jazz media and spent several weeks in the top ten radio charts while earning enthusiastic reviews from JazzTimes, Downbeat, Boston Globe and many other respected publications. The Brubeck Brothers Quartet's released the critically acclaimed CD LifeTimes in 2012. On this album, they chose to honor their father, Dave Brubeck, by reimagining a number of his best-known songs, including the classic “Take Five.”
Although the quartet's style is rooted in "straight-ahead" jazz, their concerts reveal an inherent ability to explore and play odd time signatures while naturally integrating the influences of funk, blues and world music.
